I think they would prefer an Italian just for the reason as they would know the customs and it would be easier to organize events knowing all hidden local resources available etc
But maybe you could for a year or so work with an establish wedding planner there get the ins and out and then go out on your own ! rx77165
It would probably be possible. However, there might be a lot of rules and regulations, as well as unwritten rules that you should know about prior to establishing business in Italy.
