How to become an event planner in Canada?
No pun intended! I have been reading all of the ?’s and answers by other people in this site, however I’ve noticed that none of them are from Canada and most of the websites that were noted are based in the US. I would really like to be an event planner but unfortunately I do not know where to start. Can you please help me and let me know if there is any school that offers “how to become a an event planner” course or an online course or even a correspondence school that’s based in Canada? It will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

Tips on managing my time? I’m a procrastinator taking ALL AP classes?
I leave everything last minute! I forget when things are do, I forget things at school, or at home, I’m always staying up till 1 am finishing up homework that i had a couple days to do..My classes are tough and i get loads of work to do. I know I can do it, I just need to manage my time..i need help! any tip would be greatly appreciated!
a got a planner and write everything down, so that takes care of forgetting when things are due. but as for actually doing them, well, im a big procrastinator. Im very, very, very stressed because im always leaving things last minute-sometimes even morning of the day its due!
and also, if im doing homework, i get distracted. I get up and go eat, or if im typing something up i have tabs opened to facebook, answers, music, etc etc. Homework that should take an hour or less takes me 3 to do.
actually, the only time i can actually get homework done and study is in the library.

High school freshmen school supply question?
Ok so everyone says that in most high schools they don’t send you a supply list anymore…
So I’m wondering what should I buy…and about how many of each.
Would I need to buy one of those expensive calculators because in the past teachers made us buy them but in the end we could just use the ones that were available in the class for temporary use.
How many normal 3 ring binders should I get? Does the teacher require you to have one for their class or is it just recommended and I could just carry around one of those zipper binders and fit a few classes in that?
Planners/agenda things…does the school issue everyone one or are you required to buy one yourself…or is it not required but recommended? In middle school they always issued us one.
And umm…first day…what should I bring…I know I probably won’t use much but I wanna make sure.

Best way to motivate self for better grades?
So it’s my final year at school, and time’s running out. 3 months until my exams and approaching closer by the day.
I’ve tried numerous ways to motivate myself – made a list of all the scores i’m aiming for, made study planners, set dates for what has to be achieved… while it all looks great on paper, I JUST CAN’T STUDY!
I might sit there for 2 hours attempting to work on an essay, but spend 1h30m of it on other websites instead. Or when I try to do my maths, i’d go procrastinate and treadmill or something. It’s just so frustrating because this end of year score is so important, it determines which university and course I get into. I know that I’ll end up regretting it if I don’t achieve scores up to standard.
Any suggestions as to how to approach my problem?
EDIT: Ok, I think i’ll go lock myself in some desolate room and not take my phone and mp3…hopefully i’d be able to concentrate :’D

How do YOU use a planner?
This might sound like a silly question, but the other day, my younger sister said, “I forgot — when you’re using a planner, do you write the assignment on the day that it’s due, or do you write it down on the day it was assigned and write the due date?”
I stopped using a planner a while ago, but I when I was using it, I would write the assignment on the day it was assigned and add the due date next to it because that’s how I was shown as a child. However, I can see the benefits of writing it down on the date that it’s due, e.g. I don’t have to look back at previous pages. One of the downsides for me is that, until I get used to writing it that way, I might not look ahead. If something is due in a few weeks, I may not see that assignment until I turn the page because I’m starting that week.
I’m curious about how people organize stuff. How do you use your planner? Do you do either of these or do you somehow have a different system (for example, my sister was thinking of writing it down on the day it was assigned AND writing it on the day it was due)?

I don’t know what I want to be when I grow older? :[?
I don’t know what I want to be.
I’ll be sitting for my GCSEs(O-levels) exams next year.
I’m taking the Science Stream subjects for my GCSE’s but after that, I don’t know what to pick to continue and major in during University.
Basically, I don’t know what I want to be
I’m a :
Team player
Organiser / planner
Curious
Dedicated
Imaginative (likes to throw in ideas)
I like :
Helping others
Children
Art (graphic designing stuff)
Computers
Writing
Observing
Traveling
Photography
I’ve considered :
Pediatrician ; Psychologist ( Developmental / Child) ; Computer Science
Fav. Subjects in school :
Chemistry + Math
I really want to study Developmental Psychology but my parents don’t think It’s a good idea. Plus, the demand now days aren’t that great and it’s difficult to get a scholarship in psychology.
Pediatricians need to graduate Medical School then specialise. I don’t know if I can cope and it sounds scary to graduate Med. School first. :[
Computer Science, seems boring when you go in depth? :S and you stare at computers the whole day.
Any suggestions?

organizing my planner help?
Alright, so Im a freshman in college, and i find myself overwhelmed with everything i need to do, and all the due dates.
Last year, I kept a planner, and simply put my to do list in there every day (homework, practices ect.) and i also marked off test dates.
However now that i am in college, i have no idea how to organize it. I mean if i put a daily to do list in there it wont really be “up to date”, just because of the different class schedule. I mean if it’s Monday and i have to have the chapter read by thursday, then putting it on my monday to do list almost seems pointless since i dont really have to read it monday.
i know that’s just procrastination, and being lazy, but i need a different method, because this way i cant prioritize the events. This probably sounds stupid, but I’ve always been a good student, and this is beginning to frustrate me!
