When I was told 8 years ago at the age of 14 that I would probably have a hard time conceiving due to the fact I had PCOS, that dream seemed very far away. However; when my husband and I got married this past summer, I realized how close I wanted that dream to be, how badly I wanted to share the adventure of parenthood with my wonderful husband. We waited until I ran out of my BCP in January and my LMP was 1/27. Well… after lots of research on what ovulation is, (thanks to the wonderful women who have answered many questions on here) when to BD, even what DH and BFP meant, I’m still in shock at what I just discovered. First of all, the TWW might as well be renamed HELL, because every minute I was thinking, “wait was that cramp? a twinge? was that nausea associated with anything at all?

In fact I recorded allllll of my symptoms in a little day planner in order to compare it to my next cycle, because I truly believed it would take at least 3 regular cycles off the pill to conceive.

This morning I woke up @ 1AM only 9dpo (knowing it was too early to test) and of course, I tested with a First response rapid results. Had I known when I grabbed them they weren’t FRER I wouldn’t have grabbed them at all. It came back neg. My heart sunk. Seriously AF is more welcome than a BFN.

All day I’ve been having AF like cramps with no AF at all, and having hot flashes which would spur on severe nausea. So, on my lunch break I ran to the nearest store got a pack of 2 FRER and held my urine for as long as possible. A total of only about 4.5 hrs later I ran to the office bathroom and POAS. 3 minutes later I look at it and there is a faint but definitely THERE positive. I started to say “omg omg omg omg” and cry which I’m sure surprised the women around me in their stalls.

8 years ago I was in the hospital with severe pain that was discovered to be a twisted ovary and “hundreds of cysts” I never thought that I would conceive after the first month!

I plan on retesting again tonight (holding pee again) because my hubby won’t be home until 9 and he will definitely want to see more than one test. I pray this baby sticks!

Don’t ever let any doctor, or person tell you that it is impossible for you to conceive, I had MANY doctors tell me I was too overweight to conceive, my PCOS would prevent me from ovulating… so many things that I believed. But the truth is babies are miracles, and no doctor can predict those.
**I tested on the same day.. lol I am not a patient person AT ALL. So when I got a negative this morning and then on my way to work started feeling sea-sick, I wanted to try an early response test rather than one I had to take the day of my missed period. FRER (amazing) so I got my BFP @ 9dpo, which I know is really early, twins? Hopefully.

Anyway, I feel extremely confident in my abilities, I am going to university right now [I'm in my last year of a double degree so there isn't a way for me to go and take a wedding planner course or something].

How do you go about hiring someone? What credentials do you look at? Help?

Okay so, my friend Meghan is getting married and she asked me to be her wedding planner. I said yes and I thought it would be easy. It will be a very small wedding. We won’t have too many guests. We do not have the money for this. We have exactly five dollars so far to spend on the wedding. How can we make the money needed? We want to use as little as possible. We can’t do many jobs. (Including the things I did not mention like a Camera and stuff ect.) I don’t need to waste money on someone who’d probably not take the time to focus on my needs for this wedding. My mom’s doing enough of that. I and my two friends are planning on taking a road trip from Louisiana to Los Angeles when we graduate High School. We won’t be going for a couple of years yet, but we’d like to get some plans down soon, that way we have something to look forward to and something to present to our parents when we ask permission to go.

We’ve kinda got our route figured out, we know what we want to see, but we don’t know what else there is to be done in terms of planning (though we’re sure there’s lots more).

Are there any books about road trips and how to plan them? Online checklists? Anything?

We’re also open to any money-saving suggestions (or any kind of suggestions, really) any one has to offer, we know it’s going to be pricey…
