I have an agenda/planner type idea I would like to make in to a reality. My friends have said the idea is very good and they would see themselves use it. And although it is very simple, it helps to keep track of one’s hour by hour activity. It’s like a planner/agenda, but redone for people who are more “visual” and really like to “see” what they have to do for the day. (This is as much information I would like to share on Y!A about my idea lol)

Okay. Let’s say that my idea is really good..Where do I go from here? Should I send a copy of my prototype to Google (Calendar), Barnes and Noble (as my friend suggested), Staples, Borders etc.?

But how does that really work?

Will I have to copyright my work before “emailing” them?

Or would I need an agent? How would I email someone my idea in the first place? Is there a specific email address I should use? I have no idea on how to go about “selling” my idea to people. :(

I would appreciate any help!

You definatly need a copyright if your a “lone” inventor or sorts.

Otherwise they could steal your idea and you could do nothing about it.
