My study in City College of San Francisco has been smooth and constructive but problems have arisen since last semester. One of my biggest current challenges is to maintain my grade point average. Earlier this year, I’ve signed the TAG agreement contract that guarantees me to UCSC, but the contract is only valid when all its requirements – such as completion of all classes and a minimum GPA– are met. However, since last semester, not only am I unable to improve my GPA, but I’m actually having difficulties maintaining it because I have been taking maximum units along with intense science classes. Next semester, my classes will only get more intense and time demanding. The fear of invaliding the TAG contract motivates me to be more studious and I’ve been working extra hard to improve my grades. I’m planning to use the upcoming winter break wisely to get a head start on the subjects I’ll be taking in spring by burrowing notes from friends who had taken those classes. Furthermore, I’ve always been struggling with English and through this semester I found it necessary to incorporate writing to my daily routine because there are still many grammatical errors in my writings. With all these things in hand, I’ll need to be more organized and must create a daily planner that guides me through the day. If everything goes well, I should be able to start my new student life in the fall of 2010.

I asked him where does he want this relationship to go. He seemed very frustrated at the moment with this whole disagreement and said that he’s not a big planner. He doesn’t like to plan ahead for the future. I then asked him if he wants to take the relationship day by day and he said yes. Later in the disagreement I asked him if he wants to stay in the relationship and he said yes. I purposely altered my question because I was more concerned about the present rather than future.

Anyway, I was casually talking about the whole disagreement with some friends and when I got that to that one conversation they said that it’s not a good sign when a guy says that he’s unsure about the future. Now I’m trying to approach this logically because hey, when it comes down to it, no one knows what’s going to happen in the future. It shouldn’t be a huge deal that he’s unsure, or should it be? I think the reason why I’m concerned is because I don’t want to be in a relationship where the guy is unsure about his feelings towards me.

Does anyone have any comments about this?

By the way, we’re in our 20s, been dating for a year and a half (10 of those months were long distance), and we live together.

I know it’s her big day and once in a life time event, but for me, I still have work on that day, it’s just another day for me. Don’t get me wrong, I am still happy for her though, because it’s HER wedding.

I am not a top event planner with lots of experience, but I do work professionally at catering, such as dinners, weddings and oversee events.

I am not happy that she assumed I will be okay with being a transporter (and yes, this is the name she came up with) for the day of.

Thanks for all your help! To answer some of your questions: I am not a bride maid, and plant transporter was the only duty assigned for the day.

Taking some of your advice, I emailed her and told her I can’t do plant transporting due to work but will take half a day off and help at the dinner. She asked if I can take the rest of the half day off!!!

I so wanted to send an email to her fiance and wish him luck marrying her.
