It depends on the planner. I live in Houston and have seen all price ranges. $500-$10K. Most charge a flat rate, some do a percentage but not too often. Since you did most of the work already and just need a supervisor to control the final product, I would ask about an hourly rate, which some do. If it's an all day event and they have to run around to different venues and talk to many vendors I'm guessing $300-$500. They'll be up at the crack of dawn and work with you until midnight. If you email me I can send you something I was quoted and it includes the list of duties the fees pay for.

Check with your locations if you are having the ceremony at a church or the reception is at a hotel then check with them to see if they have coordinators that you can hire and how much they charge. Some hotels may have a coordinator included in the fees. If your not having a church wedding or your reception at a hotel then just start calling around and getting quotes from different people. The first thing you should ask them is if they are available from now through the end of your wedding day because you don't want to start talking about costs with them if they aren't even available to help with your wedding, it will waste time for both of you. Hope this helps!

It really does depend on who you get (high profile or not) the one's I've seen cost about $2000. More money than I'm willing to spend. I just did all the research on my own and have a beautiful wedding planned. The money you spend on this person is money you don't need to spend if you just put effort into planning it yourself and doing research on everything. Read books, read online articles, always check out more than one place for anything (location, florist, photographer...etc), shop around for the best price for the value (the lowest price isn't always the best value).

If you need help finding things I can help, just message me. I love planning weddings and I'd help for free =)

Just for coordination the day of, in my area it ran a couple hundred dollars, depending on how long the event was. There was also a option to add on rehearsal dinner, extra meetings, etc. etc. I know I found one coordinator that had an a-la-carte service where you could pick and choose the services you needed.

Personally, I wouldnt pay more than $300 or so for the day-of assitance.

Hope this helps!

Hi,
Best way to handle this is to decide what your budget is for this function; then call around and get estimates. Because of the short timeframe, it may get costly. Explain exactly what you want them to do so that they know that the major items have already been completed and all you need is someone to help run the event smoothly. Best Wishes!
