angi3 asked:

We all know that muslims reject the idea of jesus being his son of god for we believe god rules alone and that jesus was a chosen messenger by god like the rest & christians believe him to be the son of god. thats fine everyone has the own beliefs but i just want your thoughts on the quran version of jesus.

Jesus’ message was rejected by most of the Israelites as well as the Roman authorities. Those who believed formed a small band of followers around him, known as the disciples. The Israelites plotted and conspired against Jesus and formulated a plan to have him assassinated. He was to be executed in public, in a particularly gruesome manner, well known in the Roman Empire: crucifixion.

The Israelites planned this humiliating death for their Messiah – Jesus, the messenger of God. God in his infinite mercy prevented this abominable event by putting the resemblance of Jesus on one of the mobsters that was against jesus & his messages from god.

Muslims believe that the Quran and the authentic narrations of Prophet Muhammad contain all the knowledge mankind needs in order to worship and live according to God’s commandments. The Quran explains, in God’s own words, the conspiracy against Jesus and His plan to outwit the Israelites and raise Jesus to heaven.Muslims believe Jesus is not dead, and that he will return to this world in the last days before the Day of Judgement

“And they plotted to kill Jesus and God planned too. And God is the Best of the planners.” (Quran 3:54)

“And because of their boasting, “We killed Messiah Jesus, son of Mary, the Messenger of God.” But they killed him not, nor crucified him, but the resemblance of Jesus was put over another man, and those who differ therein are full of doubts. For surely, they killed him not. But God raised him Jesus up unto Himself. And God is Ever All Powerful, All Wise.” (Quran 4:157)

“O Jesus! I will take you and raise you to Myself and clear you of the forged statement that Jesus is God’s son.” (Quran 3:55)

In the Quran, God spoke directly to Christians when He said:

“O people of the Scripture! Do not exceed the limits in your religion, nor say of God aught but the truth. The Messiah Jesus, son of Mary, was a Messenger of God and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary and a spirit created by Him; so believe in God and His Messengers. Say not: ‘Trinity!’ Cease; it is better for you! For God is One God, glory is to Him, Far Exalted is He above having a son. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And God is All Sufficient as a Disposer of affairs.” (Quran 4:171)

thankyou may god bless you all

Let me correct you ‘Richard B’ here. The Bible said samething about Jesus the son of Mary (Apostle of Allah) but it is men who always try to increase his remarks.

There isn’t not a such difference between the teachings of Jesus & what Muslims do. Muslims are more christians than christians themselves. Mr. Khan

So Allah allowed another man to be put to death just to deceive people into thinking it was Jesus?

Does that make any sense to you?

God is neither unjust or deceptive. discord71

    Well said !!!
Islam is the only non-christian faith that has made an article of faith to believe in Jesus christ (PBUH), his miraculous birth to Mary (PBUH) without male intervention which many modern christians do not believe.
No Muslim is a Muslim if he does not believe in Jesus (pbuh).
We believe that he was one of the mightiest Messengers of Allah (swt).
We believe he was the Messiah translated Christ (pbuh).
We believe that he gave life to the dead with God’s permission.
We believe that he healed those born blind, and the lepers with God’s permission
Quran has a separate chapter in the name of Mary.

I think it’s as ridiculous as bibel version; its no more that superstitious nonsense devised by priests and rulers to manage the peasants.

Seneca: Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful.

  6. Del Clicker says:

All of the Jesuses(at least 19 of them) were myth and legend, mainly. The Jesus that is at the basis of Christianity was originally a sun god. He wasn’t real. All religions have their own verison of the legend.

Even the Christian god(Jehovah/Yahweh) was the invention of the Hebrews/Canaanites, who worshiped many gods, but eventually chose their most demanding god(Yahweh) to be their only god. He’s an invention. Del Clicker

  7. : says:

Sorry, we don’t believe in deception.

@ firm stance: You indicate Deuteronomy 18-18 but do u know what the words ”from their brethren means”? It means that God would choose a prophet from one of the tribes of Jacob [Jacob had many sons and later those sons had many other children thus they were all brethren God did not choose a prophet from the ishmaelites to be a prophet to the sons of Jacob who are now the Israelites.

****The Israelites are NOT the brethren of the ishmaelities.Isaac and ishmael were step/half brothers the children of Jacob were NOT the half brothers of ishmael. Hence, the ishmaelities are *NOT* the brethren of the Israelites.***** To be sure, “brethren” can be used to refer to people other than the Jews, and it is used in this manner with the Edomites earlier in Deuteronomy (see 2:4). However, the term “brethren” is most commonly used when referring to other Israelites:

If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thy heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother. (Deuteronomy 15:7)

That this verse refers to fellow Israelites is clear from the verses that follow, for Moses tells his listeners not to ignore the brother just because the year for canceling debts is near (the year of debt-cancellation was meant for fellow Israelites).

“Brethren” is also used regarding the selection of a king:

When thou art come unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt possess it, and shalt dwell therein, and shalt say, I will set a king over me, like as all the nations that are about me; thou shalt in any wise set him king over thee, whom the LORD thy God shall choose: one from among thy brethren shalt thou set king over thee: thou mayest not set a stranger over thee, which is not thy brother. (Deuteronomy 17:14-15)

Also, Deuteronomy also staes you must not eat shells, rabbits, camels etc but you people go ahead and drink camel piss.Talk about hypocrisy.

The Jews obviously weren’t being commanded to seek an Arab king here. Rather, they were commanded to get a king “from among thy brethren,” meaning a fellow Jew. The term “brethren” is even used as a reference to other Israelites in Deuteronomy 18, the same chapter from which the prophecy is taken:

The priests the Levites, and all the tribe of Levi, shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel: They shall eat the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and his inheritance. Therefore shall they have no inheritance among their brethren: the LORD is their inheritance, as he hath said unto them. (Deuteronomy 18:1-2)

****Then u quote Isaiah 29**** When actually ISAIAH 29 is a chapter of announcing punishment on Israel. And as part of the punishment we read that God will also take away the ability to read (understand) the holy word because they have disobeyed it for so long. In particular, verse 10 states clearly that the prophets and seers themselves will be put to sleep and no longer receive revelation from the LORD. And they the followers of an uneducated prophet blindly quote this verse, they are as uneducated as their prophet.

    Regarding the ****COMFORTER/ PARACLETE****

Jesus spoke to his disciples about the Comforter and said that the Comforter was the Holy Spirit. However, some 600 years later, Muhammad claimed that the Scriptures of the Jews and Christians predicted that another prophet would arise and that he (Muhammad) was that prophet. To support Muhammad’s claim early Islamic writings state that Muhammad was the “Comforter.”

Today, despite the evidence,u people obstinately insist that Muhammad was the Comforter and labor to find material in the Scriptures to make Muhammad’s words ring true – otherwise Muhammad would be revealed to be both a liar and false prophet.

    ****Also to note,****
1.The Spirit’s function is to represent God to the believer as Jesus did in his incarnate state. “Another” (allon) means another of the same kind, not of a different kind.” 2. In John 14.16-17 WE read the words “To be with you FOREVER”.

When Muhammad came he did *NOT* stay with his people forever but *DIED*in 632 AD and his tomb is in Medina where his body has lain for over 1300 years. Nevertheless Jesus said that the Comforter, once he had come, would never leave his disciples, but would be with them forever.

****Some of the other verses U people MISUSE****
(I have provided an explanation to show what the verse really stands for.)

JOHN 14:16 — And I will ask the Father and He will give you another Comforter to be with you forever – the Spirit of Truth.

The Comforter will be with these disciples forever. Jesus promised the Comforter would be with these disciples forever. Muhammad could *NOT* be the Comforter because he wasn’t born until over 500 years later – following the deaths of these disciples. He was born around 570 and died around 632 AD.

JOHN 14:17 — But you know him for he lives with you and will be in you.

The Comforter lives with the disciples already now and will later be ‘in’ them. The Holy Spirit came to the disciples and indwelt them. Muhammad could not be the Comforter because first he wasn’t around at the time when Jesus was speaking to his disciples nor second could he ever be in any of the disciples. The Greek word is ‘en’, and it means ‘right inside’. Jesus is saying that the Comforter will be ‘right inside’ of the disciples.

JOHN 14:26 — The Comforter is specifically described as the Holy Spirit. The Comforter is not a man. Muhammad could not be the Comforter because he was never the Holy Spirit.

JOHN14:26 — The Comforter will be sent in Jesus’ name. The Holy Spirit represented the Lord on earth. No Muslim believes that Muhammad was sent by God in Jesus name. Muhammad did not come in Jesus’ name, as the apostle of Jesus, rather he came in his own name with his own questionable “revelations”.Nothing has been CHANGED, they claim change when it does *NOT* support the lies of their prophet. In fact their book has been changed Uthaman is the clue.

You Quote John 15:26. But there is a major flaw in this Muslim claim, which I recommend Muslims consider before using this argument. The application of the promise to Muhammad implies that Jesus Christ is God, as I will demonstrate below. Muhammad denied that Jesus Christ is God, and this denial is strongly maintained in the Muslim world today. In other words, the Muslim claim that the promised Holy Spirit is Muhammad contradicts one of the major teachings of their religion. The Muslim identification of Muhammad with the Holy Spirit in John’s Gospel implies the Divinity of Jesus Christ in five ways:

    1. Muslims believe that Muhammad came in the name of God. If Muhammad is the Comforter then Jesus Christ is God, because the Comforter comes “in the name of Jesus Christ” (John 14:26).

    2. Muslims believe that God sent Muhammad. If Muhammad is the Comforter then Jesus Christ is God, because Jesus Christ sends the Comforter (John 15:26; 16:7).

    3. Muslims believe that Muhammad testified on behalf of God. If Muhammad is the Comforter then Jesus Christ is God, because the Comforter testifies on behalf of Jesus Christ (John 15:26).

    4. Muslims believe that Muhammad came to bring glory to God. If Muhammad is the Comforter then Jesus Christ is God, because the Comforter comes to bring glory to Jesus Christ (John 16:14).

    5. Muslims believe that Muhammad received what belongs to God and declared it to people (i.e. the word of God). If Muhammad is the Comforter then Jesus Christ is God, because the Comforter receives what belongs to Jesus Christ and declares it to believers (John 16:13-14). InJohn 16:12-14 Jesus, once again, is equating Himself with God the Father and is promising the coming of the Holy Spirit.

Now you tell me, Where in the ENTIRE BIBLE is it written “Mohammad is your prophet?” Answer this question Without meanings or some vague interpretations I don’t want some Biblical Scripture which not even in the remote sense applies to your prophet.

I also see that JESUS’S WARNING of there being FALSE prophets after HIM doesn’t RING A BELL ? U must be terrified of your deity’s wrath thus refuse to *REASON*.

By quoting the verses from the quran and putting a Bible verse below it doesn’t make the quranic verse true. What is written in the quran about Jesus, is not true because it is based on what mohammad thought. Plus Jesus *never* said anything like that. Jesus was killed, but rose but mo is still there in the ground. So who is greater? Jesus was born miraculously, but mo by human intervention. So who is greater? :
