When are the TV planners going to please others?
jay asked:
Celebrity Come Dancing, The X Factor, Casualty and Match of The Day aren`t to everyones` taste. Wintertime Saturday TV has become extremely boring.
Tesco:
Thanks. Yes, they should sack all the moronic programme planners, they have absolutely no imagination; all they can think of dishing up is reality rubbish, crime & hospital stuff…
Arthur 5:
Thank you too. That just about puts it in a nutshell. They don`t think about young couples with children who can`t get out or disabled people or the elderly – but still they remind us to pay our TV licenses don`t they?

I totally agree with you. The tv planners think that we’re all pathetic fools.
You’ll have to buy some dvds of your favourite movies or some classic tv series so that you’ve got something to cosy up and watch during the winter. Tesco – very little help
Jay – knew a guy who worked for Thames Telly years ago, and he told me Saturday viewing always catered for what he called ‘the underclass’ – meaning people who couldn’t afford to go out, and who wouldn’t know how to complain if there were assaulted with ‘common fare’ every weekend. Of course, during the week, they get a bit more lively, as people with ‘money’ will be watching, and they won’t have to put on depressing programmes like the Lottery, X Factor and other things for the lowest common-denominator, with their fish suppers, cheap booze and cigs. arthur_57
Saturday night TV has always been rubbish. They seem to appeal to the lowest common denominator. Sula
